Tips from owners

Small things that make a difference with the Apple MacBook Pro 14 M5:

• •Give it a full first charge or setup cycle before judging performance.
• •Use the settings as intended rather than defaulting to maximum.
• •Keep the original packaging for the first 30 days in case you return it.
• •Buy any spares at the same time — they're often cheaper bundled.

Looking after it

Get the most out of the Apple MacBook Pro 14 M5 by treating it as Apple intends: keep it clean and dry between uses, store it away from heat, and follow the manual for any replaceable parts. Most negative reviews of electronics products come down to maintenance rather than manufacturing.

• •Clean after each use rather than weekly.
• •Store in the case or box it came with.
• •Replace consumable parts on schedule, not when they fail.
• •Keep the receipt and register the warranty where offered.

What UK owners report

"Blazing fast for work" — The M5 chip handles everything I throw at it, from video editing to Xcode builds, without breaking a sweat.

"Display is phenomenal" — The XDR screen is the best I have used on a laptop. Colours are accurate and HDR content looks incredible.

"Great machine, missing charger" — Love the performance and build quality, but Apple not including a power adapter is frustrating.
