Tips from owners

Small things that make a difference with the Microsoft Surface Pro 13 (12th Edition):

• •Give it a full first charge or setup cycle before judging performance.
• •Use the settings as intended rather than defaulting to maximum.
• •Keep the original packaging for the first 30 days in case you return it.
• •Buy any spares at the same time — they're often cheaper bundled.

Looking after it

Get the most out of the Microsoft Surface Pro 13 (12th Edition) by treating it as Microsoft intends: keep it clean and dry between uses, store it away from heat, and follow the manual for any replaceable parts. Most negative reviews of computers products come down to maintenance rather than manufacturing.

• •Clean after each use rather than weekly.
• •Store in the case or box it came with.
• •Replace consumable parts on schedule, not when they fail.
• •Keep the receipt and register the warranty where offered.

What UK owners report

"Fast, silent, all-day battery" — Flies through everything I throw at it and the battery genuinely lasts a full day of meetings and documents.

"Perfect travel companion" — Light, gorgeous screen, and the kickstand makes it ideal on trains and planes. Dune colour is beautiful.

"Excellent but add keyboard cost" — The device itself is superb — just remember the keyboard is extra when budgeting.
