Is the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB Worth It in 2026?

The short answer

Yes — for most UK buyers the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB is worth it, provided you actually need what it does. Amazon UK buyers currently rate the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB 4.6 out of 5 across 214 ratings. That is a strong score for a electronics product at this level, and it is backed up by consistent feedback rather than a handful of reviews.

The Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max in Deep Blue is Apple's biggest and longest-lasting iPhone, pairing a 6.9-inch ProMotion display with the A19 Pro chip, a 48MP Pro Fusion camera system and 512GB of storage. With the best battery life ever in an iPhone, a heat-forged aluminium unibody and Ceramic Shield protection, it is built for power users, creators and anyone who wants the largest screen Apple offers.

Where it justifies the spend

The 6.9-inch ProMotion display is superb for video, gaming and editing, the A19 Pro chip sustains heavy workloads without throttling, and the 48MP camera system produces outstanding stills and video. Battery life is genuinely the best of any iPhone to date, comfortably stretching into a second day for lighter users. It is big and expensive, but if you want the ultimate iPhone, this is it.

• •Huge 6.9-inch ProMotion display is stunning
• •Best battery life ever in an iPhone
• •A19 Pro delivers top-tier sustained performance
• •Versatile 48MP cameras with excellent zoom

Where it might not

No product is right for everyone. These are the trade-offs worth knowing before you order Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB on Amazon UK:

• •Large and heavy compared to the iPhone 17 Pro
• •Premium price and no charger in the box

What owners say

One buyer summed it up as "The battery is unreal" — I end most days with 40% left even with heavy use. The big screen makes everything better.

One buyer summed it up as "Worth the upgrade" — Coming from a 14 Pro Max the difference is huge. Cameras, speed and the display are all noticeably better.

Our verdict

If the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB matches how you will use it day to day, it is an easy recommendation at its current UK price. If you only need it occasionally, a cheaper electronics option will do the job — but you will notice the difference in build and results.
