Tips from owners

Small things that make a difference with the WAHL 5 Star Vanish Shaver Gold:

• •Give it a full first charge or setup cycle before judging performance.
• •Use the settings as intended rather than defaulting to maximum.
• •Keep the original packaging for the first 30 days in case you return it.
• •Buy any spares at the same time — they're often cheaper bundled.

Getting started

Unbox, check everything on the parts list is present, and give the WAHL 5 Star Vanish Shaver Gold a full charge or setup pass before first use. Read the quick-start card rather than assuming it works like the model you replaced — Wahl changes control layouts between generations.

• •Professional 5 Star finishing shaver for barbers and stylists
• •Micro-thin gold hypoallergenic foils for ultra-close, bump-free results
• •Independent pop-out foil cutters for easy cleaning and replacement

Looking after it

Get the most out of the WAHL 5 Star Vanish Shaver Gold by treating it as Wahl intends: keep it clean and dry between uses, store it away from heat, and follow the manual for any replaceable parts. Most negative reviews of grooming products come down to maintenance rather than manufacturing.

• •Clean after each use rather than weekly.
• •Store in the case or box it came with.
• •Replace consumable parts on schedule, not when they fail.
• •Keep the receipt and register the warranty where offered.
